St Trinian Jubblies on YouTube

The countdown begins!

Manda BadgeSchool Badge JubbliesTonight I have decided to finally make the school badges for our outfits / uniforms.  I've bought the materials and have a design in mind, so it's just a case of drinking lots of vodka and getting on with it!

We've reached a 'point of no return' stage with the training, meaning that if we aren't trained by now we  never will be and are in trouble.  Not too many worries, I think we are prepared, Caz and I know what to expect and Kate has been training like a demon!  Caz and I will be attempting to do a quick 10 miles or so on Sunday after our heavy night out tomorrow, which could be 'interesting'.....

We have updated our sponsor pages on the official B My Charity / Walk the Walk website so please give us your dosh  if you haven't already done so!

Wink

OK. Off to get pissed...er...I mean sewing!

Tried to do a training walk yesterday, was all geared up to do 20 miles.

It was bright and sunny when I set off but by mile 5 it had clouded over, and by mile 7 it was pissing down.  I got totally drenched, phone and MP3 player both went flat, it was cold, wet and miserable. I did about 9 miles and decided that even if the sun was to magically appear right at that moment I was about 2 hours from home and had soggy underwear.  Luckily I was only a mile or so from mum's so I dropped in and cadjed a lift home.  My enthusiasm is waning

Am off to see Kate on Sunday for another training walk, and hopefully the weather will be lovely (if you believe the weather forecast).

Will to do 20 miles next week.

We have chosen our outfits for this year's Moonwalk...

...and it's St Trinians!

St Trinian's

Outfits have been purchased, hair is being put in pigtails as we speak...it's all a little obscene really for a bunch of 30-somethings...

There are now only three of us doing it this year; me (of course), Carolyn (for the third year running) and Kate (who is doing it for the first time, and has been very disciplined about training, putting Caz and I to shame!) and even though the people that have dropped out will be sorely missed I have it on good authority that they will be supporting us from a safe and comfortable distance.

The date of this year's event is Saturday the 17th May so come along to Hyde Park and show your support if you can! We'll be the ones looking a little too much like dinner ladies, as opposed to school girls. We have no shame, it's a symptom of age.

Have just signed up for 2008, it just had to be done, it's just so much fun!

There should be a little gang of us next year which is brilliant! We just have to agree on a theme which at the moment is proving problematic.  Carolyn is set on 'Ladybugs', but Kate is concerned we would look like an infestation (and I am inclined to agree).

I'm sure we will come up with something, we have heaps of time. That is, of course, if we get a place.  There's no guarantee of that.
